ARN 2007 Annual Educational Conference

General Information

Conference Goals and Objectives
The primary goals for the ARN Annual Meeting are to increase attendees’ awareness of new trends in rehabilitation health care and to support the continued growth of the specialty of rehabilitation nursing and individual nurses. After participating in this conference, attendees will be able to

  • discuss state-of-the-art approaches to improving patient care and outcomes.
  • implement improved clinical and administrative strategies for effective rehabilitation of patients with a variety of diagnoses.
  • discuss advances in research, medicine, and nursing care and the impact they have on the rehabilitation patient and the caregiver.
  • identify and apply effective ways to take action in the work place to improve practice.

Continuing Education Credit
You can earn 1 nursing contact hour (CH) for every 60 minutes of educational time. You must complete and submit an evaluation form for each session you attend to receive contact hours. Contact hours available for each session are listed in the schedule of events.

The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA). ARN also has submitted applications for contact-hour approval to the Certification of Disability Management Specialists Commission (CDMSC), the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCM), and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), and is a provider approved by the California Board of Registerd Nursing, provider#CEP 14427.

Special Registration Discounts

    Team member discount: When two or more ARN members from your facility or company register for the full ARN conference at the same time, each member will receive the discounted rate. Just check off this registration option on the registration form.

    Join/renew-and-register options: For an additional $110, you can become an ARN member or renew your ARN membership and register for the 2007 conference at the member rate. Just check off the join/renew-and-register option.

    Join/renew local chapter: Network with rehabilitation nurses in your community by joining a local chapter. For a list of chapters and dues, click here or contact ARN at 800/229-7530. Select a chapter and enter the dues amount in box A on the registration form. Note that membership in ARN is a prerequisite for chapter membership.

    Student registration: Full-time undergranduate or graduate nursing students can register at a special rate. Documented proof of this status (e.g., faculty letter, fee receipt) must be submitted with registration.

    Guest passes: Guest passes are available for $35 each and include entrance to the opening reception, exhibit hall, and continental breakfast.
