Purpose The primary goals of ARN continuing nursing education are to increase awareness of new trends in rehabilitation health care and to support the continued growth of the specialty of rehabilitation nursing and individual nurses. Individual activity objectives can be accessed by logging on to each activity posstest.
Objectives Each article will have relevant objectives, but the overall objective for this educational activity is to provide rehabilitation nurses with the opportunity for learner-directed continuing education that will benefit their clinical practice and thus their patients and their families.
Activity Audience This independent study offering is appropriate for all rehabilitation nurses.
Continuing Education Credit Each article provides 1 nursing contact hour.
The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Disclosure A staff member, volunteer (committee member or RNJ author), or family member who has an affiliation with a commercial company must declare that relationship in advance of involvement with an education activity that could be used as a forum to promote the interest of that company and its products.
If there are any disclosures to report, they will be indicated in the individual journal article.
Off-Label Use Any articles containing off-label use will be indicated in the individual journal article.
Expiration Dates Please note the individual articles appearing below are approved for continuing nursing education for a period of two years. The expiration date that appears on each individual article refers to the date after which contact hours will no longer be awarded for that activity. Once contact hours are earned, they may be used for certification and/or licensure regardless of the expiration date.
