Summary

This webinar will provide an overview of the pedagogy of simulation. Current evidence-base findings will be presented to assist in exploring how simulation-based activities can assist in promoting safe, quality patient care. Participants will explore different modalities of simulation and discuss several debriefing techniques appropriate for the rehabilitation arena.

  • Discuss the pedagogy of simulation and its impact on healthcare education and practice
  • Explore the current and future role of simulation in the rehabilitation arena
  • Describe the use of simulation-enhanced interprofessional education in the rehabilitation arena
  • Differentiate the components of a simulation-based activity; pre-brief, scenario, and debrief

This activity is designed for nurses, nurse managers, educators, PPS coordinators, case managers, and intake nurses.
