ARN will host this year’s 38th Annual Educational Conference, the premier educational conference for rehabilitation nurses in Nashville, TN, October 3-6, 2012.
This year the ARN Annual Educational Conference is extraordinarily special. We are incredibly pleased to welcome U.S. Navy Captain Mark Kelly as our opening keynote speaker. As you probably know, Captain Kelly was the Commander of the Space Shuttle Endeavour’s final mission and is married to Congresswoman Gabrielle “Gabby” Giffords, the target of an attempted assassination in 2011. Kelly and Giffords detail their journey to recovery in the best seller Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope. Also special this year, attendees will have an opportunity to get moving during our Fitness Reinvented sessions. These sessions are designed to allow attendees to follow along and learn about exercise recommendations for people with limited mobility.
As always, the ARN conference will continue to offer nurses in all levels, roles, and settings comprehensive education in rehabilitation nursing. Participants will be able to experience rehabilitation nursing concepts in a larger context as well as focus on the treatments and issues that remain at the forefront of their patients’ needs. National in scope, ARN’s Annual Educational Conference is where you will find leading speakers on rehabilitation clinical practice and a place to share unique perspectives with hundreds of rehabilitation nurses in every setting, from near and far.
Nurses attending preconference, optional, and conference sessions can earn up to 40.75 nursing contact hours, fulfilling many, if not all, yearly state credentialing requirements.
Conference Web Central, the ARN online conference site, will have all the up to date information on registration, conference educational sessions, pre conference workshops, networking events, travel information, and Nashville so please visit often.
