Upon completion the learner will be able to: 

  • Discuss the implications of the IMPACT Act on PAC settings.
  • Describe the quality measure reporting outlined in the IMPACT Act.
  • Integrate evidence-based interventions for each quality measure.
  • Describe potential inter-professional interventions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Relate the nursing interventions to ARN's Competency Model.

Target Audience:
Nurses, nurse managers, educators, case managers, nurse and patient care techs, PPS and MDS coordinators, speech language pathologists, physical and occupational therapists, quality compliance officers, supervisors, clinical educators, and directors in the following settings: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs), Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCHs), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), and Home Health Agencies (HHAs).

Continuing Education Credit

ARB accredidationThe Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is accredited with distinction as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. ARN designates this activity for a maximum of 10.25 hours. You can earn 1 nursing contact hour (CH) for every 60 minutes of educational time. You must complete and submit an online evaluation form for each session you attend to receive CHs. CHs available for each session are listed in the schedule of events.

All refunds will be processed after the conference. ARN reserves the right to substitute faculty or to cancel or reschedule sessions due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If ARN must cancel, registrants will receive full credits or refunds of their paid registration fees. No refunds can be made for lodging, airfare, or any other expenses related to attending the conference.
