2008 Webcast: A Global Approach to Documenting Evidence of Rehab Nursing

Documentation for Medical Necessity
Rehabilitation nurses have a critical role in providing quality care to
the rehabilitation patient. Equally important is documentation of those
rehabilitation nursing interventions to demonstrate medical necessity
and ensure Medicare reimbursement.
This webinar will provide a summary of the ARN Scope of Practice and
how it can be used as a framework for documentation of rehabilitation
nursing practice. Discuss examples of common documentation missteps
found in medical records through the use of case scenarios as well as
suggestions for improvement. Receive practical tips for communicating
with and questions for fiscal intermediaries will also be covered.
Attendees of the Webcast are eligible for 1 nursing contact hour through the completion of an evaluation and posttest.
The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) is accredited as a
provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA).
Faculty Disclosure. In accordance with the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC-COA), all
continuing nursing education providers are required to disclose to the

teachers, and authors involved in the development of continuing nursing

if he or she has a financial relationship in any amount occurring in
the last 12 months with a commercial interest whose products or
