ARN Impact Act Boot Camp Series
Rehab Insights eCourses

The IMPACT Act* is coming to your post-acute care (PAC) setting. Are you ready? Individual practitioners in Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs), Long-Term Care Hospitals (LTCHs), Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), and Home Health Agencies (HHAs) all are preparing for the requirement to submit standardized assessment data to CMS. The new reporting requirements necessitate new strategies for reporting assessment items.

The ARN IMPACT Act Boot Camp consists of a series of four, monthly 75-minute eCourses. Each eCourse will be recorded and available online for purchase approximately one week after the live presentation. The first session provides a practical overview of how the IMPACT Act affects PAC settings and suggests how individuals should prepare for the change. Each of the subsequent eCourses highlights specific Quality Indicators. Discussions include scoring, documentation, and goal setting.

Michele Cournan, DNP RN CRRN ANP-BC, has over 20 years experience in rehabilitation, in both IRF and SNF settings. Michele has been focusing efforts on the IMPACT Act since 2015 examining the impact these changes will have on clinicians, documentation and post-acute care settings.
