Clinical Supervisor, Neuro Rehab

You'll be a part of a world-renowned facility that had 8,000 admissions in 2005. Also, you will be part of our new, state-of-the-art Neuro Rehabilitation Center that recently expanded our current bed capacity to 52 beds in January 2007; which includes 5 Pediatric beds. Barrow Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center has long been known for the amazing treatments, procedures and care that it provides to its patients. What many people don't realize is the road to recovery often doesn't end after initial treatment or surgery. Barrow's Neuro Rehab Unit offers these patients and their families the assistance they need.

St. Joseph's has been awarded accreditation for its brain and spinal cord injury programs from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

The Neuro Rehab unit currently includes:

  • 52 patient beds. The unit contains18 private rooms (of which five are dedicated to pediatric patients) and 17 semi-private rooms.
  • Three gyms. One is for adults recovering from spinal cord injuries and the 2nd gym helps adults recovering from brain injuries and strokes. The third gym is dedicated to pediatric patients.
  • Two nurses stations.
  • The cafe area will give patients computer access and allow them to watch educational DVDs.
  • The transitional apartment. The facility will provide patients the opportunity to experience and learn from the challenges they and their caregivers are likely to face once they leave the hospital.
  • Ceiling lifts to assist in the movement of spinal cord patients.
  • Voice activated environmental control units are available in some rooms.
  • A dedicated secured brain-injury unit. This unit has special features to help keep patients with neurological injuries safe.

Join us now as we are seeking a Clinical Supervisor, to coordinate and supervise the patient care team; direct the daily operation of the unit and act as the liaison with physicians, patients, families and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Arizona RN License
  • BCLS certification
  • Resuscitation level certificate as appropriate to assigned department
  • Five years RN experience with three years recent experience within assigned clinical area preferred
