Election Statement: I have been involved in leadership roles and development of new leaders with ARN and with employers for many years. My experiences as a leader and mentor aligns well with the goals of ARN. Developing and mentoring leaders supports members’ expectations of the organization. They seem to desire ARN to act as a leader in developing both nursing roles and legislation for those we serve. As we identify and mentor new leaders with goals of pursuing success together, we will be able to build a collaborative, and evidence-based approach to improving care and the quality of life. Experienced nurses need to nurture our peers for the health of our future as nurses and as rehabilitation professionals involved and engaged in ARN. By identifying and developing leaders, professionally and personally, we will be able to improve healthcare delivery. My expertise will help with the identification and development of our future leaders.
