The strongest recruiting tool for new members is your own personal endorsement. Introduce your colleagues to ARN and they will be involved with the best partner they could have as rehabilitation nurses.

Not sure how to get started?

  • Call ARN at 800/229-7530 or e-mail info@rehabnurse.org to ask for membership materials and distribute them to colleagues at work. Tell them about the benefits of membership, and be prepared to answer any questions. You may want to have a copy of the Rehabilitation Nursing journal and newsletter handy when talking to them.
Or you can e-mail your referrals to info@rehabnurse.org—we’d be happy to send them membership materials.

  • Tell your colleagues to visit the ARN Web site—www.rehabnurse.org. The Web site has complete information on membership benefits as well as on upcoming courses and educational resources. There is also a membership application that can be printed and mailed or faxed into the office. Be sure to ask them to include your name on the bottom of the application where it asks “Recruited by.”

  • Host an ARN open house for your colleagues.

  • Invite colleagues to courses or the annual conference.

  • Bring your potential recruit to your next chapter meeting. Show them how, through ARN membership, they can become a part of a strong professional network that supports rehabilitation nursing as well as their professional development.
