Research Grants

The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF) makes available research grants totaling $44,500. Research funding is available for the purpose of advancing rehabilitation nursing through education and research. Each year, the RNF Research Fund Committee solicits and reviews research proposals addressing clinical practice, educational, or administrative dimensions of rehabilitation nursing. Funding may be awarded in the form of multiple grants.

Research grants are also funded by Sigma Theta Tau International.

Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation Grants

RNF offers funding of up to $30,000 for rehabilitation nursing research which is awarded in the form of multiple grants. A New Investigator Award, offered to encourage nurses who are novice researchers, will be awarded for up to $10,000. Up to two grants from the remaining amount will be awarded to recipients, who will be designated RNF Research Fellows.

Sigma Theta Tau International/Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation Grant

STT and RNF co-sponsor a grant of $4,500 that is given to one recipient. The research topic must be related to rehabilitation nursing. Specific information on the Sigma Theta Tau International/RNF grant is included in the RNF grant application packet.

ONSF/RNF Grant

The ONSF/RNF grant is cosponsored by the Oncology Nursing Society Foundation and RNF. The grant provides $10,000 for one research project that will advance rehabilitation nursing in patients with cancer.
