Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation
The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation (RNF) is a tax-exempt foundation established in 1976 by the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN). RNF has five grants available totalling over $34,500.
The Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation offers $30,000 in the form of multiple grants for research and EBP projects that address the clinical practice, educational or administrative dimensions of rehabilitation nursing. The New Investigator Research Award grants up to $10,000 for nurses who are novice researchers. One EBP Project Grant (in the amount of $2,500) is to promote the translation of research into practice. Up to two Research Fellow Grants to support experienced researchers will be awarded from the remaining funds.
RNF also cosponsors two grants. The Sigma Theta Tau International grant offers $4,500 for one nursing research project related to rehabilitation nursing. The principal investigator for this grant must have a master's degree in nursing. RNF also sponsors a grant through the American Nurses Foundation in the amount of $3500. Annual Fund
The RNF Annual Fund was established to provide a means of support for the ongoing work of the Rehabilitation Nursing Foundation. Contributors to the RNF Annual Fund demonstrate a commitment to advancing the specialty of rehabilitation nursing. The fund fosters the development of new programs that will enhance rehabilitation nursing practice and treatment outcomes.
Your contribution helps fund important projects including:
- Over the past five years, RNF has awarded over $100,000 for rehabilitation nursing research.
- RNF sponsored the “Nurse Staffing and Patient Outcomes in Inpatient Rehabilitation Settings” study. Final results of the study were reported in the 2007 September/October issue of the Rehabilitation Nursing Journal.
