Advocate for Rehab Nurses on Capitol Hill!

Have you ever wanted to learn more about public policy or advocate for rehabilitation nurses on Capitol Hill?

The Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) provides nurses with the opportunity to learn how to influence health care through legislative and regulatory processes. NIWI 2013 will be held March 17-19.

Participants

  • learn from health policy experts and government officials
  • network with other nurses
  • visit members of Congress

The 2013 scholarships have been awarded. Please check back in the fall for information about the 2014 scholarships.

BSN Scholarship

ARN offers financial assistance in the form of a $1,500 scholarship to nurses working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

Scholarship eligibility requirements include:

  • membership and involvement in ARN
  • enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program in good standing and successful completion of at least one course
  • current practice in rehabilitation nursing
  • a minimum of 2 years’ experience in rehabilitation nursing

The application is available as a form-fillable Word document. The application deadline is June 1, 2013.

Graduate Scholarship

ARN offers financial assistance in the form of a $1,500 scholarship to nurses working toward a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a doctorate degree in nursing (PhD, DNP, or DNS/DNSc).

Scholarship eligibility requirements include:

  • membership and involvement in ARN
  • current enrollment in a graduate level degree program, in good standing, and successful completion of at least one course
  • current practice in rehabilitation nursing
  • minimum of two years' experience in rehabilitation nursing

The application is available as a form-fillable Word document. The application deadline is June 1, 2013.

Mary Ann Mikulic Scholarship

The Mary Ann Mikulic Scholarship offers one full tuition scholarship for the Professional Rehabilitation Nursing Online Course. 

Eligibility requirements include:

  • Registered Nurse
  • Currently practicing in the specialty of Rehabilitation Nursing
