Candidates who demonstrate the implementation of trans-disciplinary coordination and cooperation, serve (by participating) as mentors to new case managers, and exhibit professional organizational involvement would be appropriate nominees for this award.

Candidates who actively participate in research, serve as mentors for new and potential researchers, or support research in the field through active involvement in professional organizations committed to this end (e.g., active member of Sigma Theta Tau) would be appropriate nominees for this award.

Doctorate Prepared Researcher
The Doctorate Prepared Researcher Award recognizes a rehabilitation nurse who is committed to the advancement of rehabilitation nursing through research. Candidates who actively participate in research, serve as mentors for new and potential researchers, or support research in the field through active involvement in professional organizations committed to this end (e.g., served on RNF Research Fund Committee, active member of Sigma Theta Tau) would be appropriate nominees for this award.
