Examination

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the CRRN examination must have:

1. Current, unrestricted RN license
2. Completion of at least one of the following at the time of application:

  • Within the five years preceding the examination, completion of two years of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing; or
  • Within the five years preceding the examination, completion of one year of practice as a registered professional nurse in rehabilitation nursing and one year of advanced study (beyond baccalaureate) in nursing.

In 2012, the examination will be offered in June and December via a computerized delivery system. Candidates may test anytime during June or December when their local test center is open and has space available.

To register for the examination, candidates must submit the application received by the application deadline.

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an e-mail containing a link to the examination schedule and you will schedule your examination based on the test site availability. The application approval process takes approximately 15 business days. Please be aware that each test site maintains its own schedule based on size and demand. 

Test Center Locations

Each testing center maintains its own schedule, based on overall demand and scheduling constraints. Some centers have a limited schedule or limited seating. Testing appointments are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Not all international test sites are available for this examination.
